CNG-Sask Rideshare & Delivery (CNG-SRSD)

Independent Contractor Agreement

Independent Contractor Status

All drivers with CNG-Sask Rideshare & Delivery (CNG-SRSD) operate as independent contractors and are not employees of the organization.

CNG-SRSD does not collect fares or delivery payments directly from clients. Drivers are responsible for collecting payment from customers and remitting the organization’s commission at the end of each working day.

Driver Commission

Drivers collect all payments from their customers.

Commission payable to CNG-SRSD is as follows:

  • First 3 months: 20%
  • After 3 months: 15%
  • After 6 months and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check: 10%

Daily commission payments must be submitted to CNG-SRSD at the end of each shift.

Criminal Record Check

A Criminal Record Check is optional for new drivers.

Drivers who complete six months of service and provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check become eligible for the reduced 10% commission rate.

Driver Requirements

Drivers must:

  • Must have a Canada birth Certificate, Treaty Card, Proof of citizenship
  • Drivers need to speak proper English.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle being operated.
  • Ensure their vehicle meets all SGI safety and registration requirements.
  • Carry valid vehicle insurance as required by law.
  • Set their own transportation and delivery rates.

Vehicle Responsibilities

Drivers are solely responsible for:

  • Vehicle ownership or lease.
  • Vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Fuel costs.
  • Insurance coverage.
  • Vehicle registration.
  • Compliance with all SGI regulations and provincial laws.

Payment Methods

Payments will be processed through CIBC.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Interac e-Transfer
  • Square (credit card payments)

Drivers are responsible for ensuring payment is collected before services are completed whenever possible.

Hygiene and Professional Appearance

To provide the best experience for clients, drivers are encouraged to:

  • Keep their vehicles clean and presentable.
  • Avoid wearing strong perfumes or using heavily scented air fresheners, as many clients have allergies or sensitivities.
  • Dress in clean, neat clothing to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Treat all customers with courtesy and respect.

Advertising and Marketing

CNG-SRSD is responsible for:

  • Marketing and advertising
  • Social media management
  • Website development
  • Mobile app development
  • Company branding

Drivers must obtain approval from CNG-SRSD before using company logos, vehicle advertising, promotional materials, or business cards.

Contractor Acknowledgement

By operating with CNG-Sask Rideshare & Delivery, each driver acknowledges that they are an independent contractor and accept responsibility for their own taxes, insurance, operating expenses, and compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
